Service stations

Q8 has a European network of more than 4,400 Q8 branded service stations extending across six European countries: Italy, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and, in Sweden, as the OKQ8 joint venture.
Responding to customer demand for a low price, no frills service, Q8 also operates a network of 24 hour unmanned service stations. These are branded F24 in Denmark; Tango (Tank and Go) in the Netherlands and Q8 Easy in Italy and Belgium.

Innovative retailing

Q8 is at the forefront of developing forecourt retailing and constantly seeks to expand the range of goods and services offered at Q8 service stations for motorists and local communities.
In some markets this is achieved by establishing partnerships with other companies. In Benelux, for example, an alliance with supermarket chain Delhaize provides a mini supermarket service, Shop n’ Go!
Services are constantly reviewed to ensure that they meet customer preferences. As a result, the Qvik to Go shops at Q8 service stations in Denmark even include a range of organic food to promote healthy evening.
Car wash is an important service for motorists and Q8 offers one of the most advanced carwash operations in Europe.

Protecting the environment
Q8’s strong reputation for environmental sensitivity is reflected by innovations at service stations. In Denmark and Italy, the first climate-friendly service stations have been launched and plans are in hand to extend the concept of zero-carbon service stations across the network.

Direct fuel sales

Q8’sDirect Division markets bulk fuels, bitumen, LPG and other petroleum products in each country where we operate. Our customers include large organisations, public utilities, local authorities, transport companies, light industry and farmers, as well as private individuals who purchase home heating oil. In some markets the Direct Division operates as a subsidiary under an independent name.
All of these customers are serviced through Q8’s highly automated logistics network, where our investment in technology plays an important role in ensuring timely delivery of the highest quality products.
Through Q8’s international research facility, direct customers have access to the latest thinking in the oil industry. This has proved an important feature for many of our customers who, regardless of their size, can rely on Q8 as their preferred supplier.

Q8Aviation

Q8Aviation is one of the world’s leading jet fuel marketers, providing fuel to well over 200 airlines at more than 60 airports across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Far East. In addition to serving major international airports, Q8Aviation also has a presence at a growing network of smaller regional airports.
Over the past decade, Q8Aviation has grown rapidly, with annual sales increasing from around 300 million usg to 1.5 billion usg. Our growth is focused on the opportunities presented by the growing requirement for countries to import jet fuel, in order to meet the high demand for air travel.
With the backing of a major oil producing nation, Q8Aviation is unique in providing a reliable supply chain that stretches from well-head to wing tip. Further strengthening the supply network, Q8Aviation has invested in state of the art fuel import facilities at locations including Avonmouth in the UK, Le Havre in France and Rotterdam in the Netherlands. As a result of these projects, Q8Aviation is now the largest jet fuel importer into north-west Europe.
Q8Aviation is represented in the most prestigious aviation industry bodies, including IATA and the Joint Inspection Group (JIG). This highly respected expertise in fuel operations has helped Q8Aviation to develop a successful technical services strand to the business. We can act in an advisory capacity or provide ongoing management of fuel and fuel related facilities in projects that span operations at small aerodromes through to the world’s leading airports.

Lubricants

Q8Oils develops, manufactures and markets automotive and industrial lubricants, satisfying the needs of customers in a wide range of market sectors. Our mission is to develop long term and mutually beneficial customer relationships, whilst safeguarding the health, safety and environment of all persons and places affected by our business activities.
We only manufacture products that are equivalent or superior in quality to any product on the market and supply them with a level of service that our customers expect. This quality premium is achieved by using our Kuwaiti crude oil, refined to produce base oils of the highest quality at our Europoort refinery in the Netherlands. These base oils are then used to manufacture lubricants at one of four blending plants in Europe, to rigorous specifications which are monitored by our Research and Development arm, Q8 Research and Technology. All our blending plants have ISO accreditation.
Our worldwide business philosophy is to listen to our customers to understand their business needs and improve their productivity and profitability. In this way we will grow our reputation as the product, service and solution provider.
